When I first played it, I wasn't sure what was going on, so Daffy didn't even exit on the first pass. Then on the second pass, he did, but went splat like Wile E. Coyote. Nowadays, I land Daffy on the target about 50% of the time. I can even have him freefall to the very last second, pop his chute and he lands on target, in less than a second.
