tetra316 0 #1 March 11, 2009 So I'm looking into getting a new competition RW suit and think I've narrowed it down to these two choices. What is your preference and why?
humbled1 0 #2 March 11, 2009 I just got a new Tony suit last week, I have only put 10 jumps on it so far. After asking some of the serious 4-way jumpers at Elsinore I decided to get a Tony Pit Suit. Also Purusha at Square1 really pushed Tonys. She did the measuring and I paid $40 extra and had it 2 weeks after ordering it. It fits perfectly and the mega booties really seem to work great. I actually was considering a Michigan or Merlin, but after asking enuff peeps at my dz I realized Tony was the favorite. Alot of jumpers said Tony's last a long time. I did check into others as well, Bev, Flite, etc. (Also I called Tony's and they were VERY helpful regarding the options and what not) My understanding is both companies make a great suit so I am sure you will be happy which ever one you choose. Good luck"Tell ya the truth, I don't think this is a brains kind of operation."
VideoFly 0 #3 March 11, 2009 I have personally had great experiences with Tony, Bev, Michigan, Flite Suit, Symbiosis, and Merlin Suits. They were all well made, held up well, and functioned well. When making your choice, a lot depends upon what fit, materials, and options best serve your purposes.
billvon 3,120 #4 March 11, 2009 Tony. They last a long time, the competition grips are solid and the booties are well built. They last well in both jumping and tunnel applications. I've seen some good Flite Suits, but I also watched one disintegrate in the tunnel after only a few hours.
diablopilot 2 #5 March 11, 2009 I've been pleased with every one of my FliteSuits, not so much with my Tony Suit. YMMV.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
x46255 0 #6 March 11, 2009 I've got a comp body suit from flite suit that rocks. Unique feature is the articulation in the knee which is awesome when you're sitting in a cramped plane. The fit is excellent but the wait time was about two months. I've never jumped a Tony but I've heard good things and from what I've seen at the DZ I'm sure you can't go wrong either way. regulator 0 #7 March 11, 2009 I just ordered a new Pit Special suit from TonySuits and I just got an update from them telling me it should be shipped to me at the end of the month. I cant say if its good or bad yet since I havent jumped it yet but I've heard lots of good reviews about them.
