pds 0 #1 March 11, 2005 i dont usually do this but am in a bad situation and need help... first of all, to those i havent talked to in a while... HI!. the bad news.... I moved to thailand 3 months ago, have had a hard time finding work. then 2 weeks ago i stepped off the sidewalk to make way for an old lady, tripped and crushed several bones in my foot keeping me crawling around my apartment and even more hampered in my efforts to find work. big favor... i am broke, less than zero and need to generate some cash flow. I set up some google ads on my website so if you can hit my page a few (or a hundred lol) times a day and click through the ad links it will generate a tiny bit of income, i think. i just set it up so i dont know but i need to do something, the landlord is ready to toss my broken footed butt out on the street. for those with lots of friends in you email lists, maybe you can forward this? oops.. my website: http://www.salientsolutions.info also anyone who is able and willing, you can send any amount of money to my http://www.paypal.com account. just use my email address sky_sanders@hotmail.com and it will get to me. any amount will help. when i get solvent i will return the favor. Dave, depending on your traffic and method of soliciting clickthroughs at first blush it looks to be about a dime a clickthrough. wont know for sure until a billing period has elapsed. i think there is some kind of ephemeral costing going on. but for someone with a hosted site costing $20 or$30 a month, a couple hundred clickthroughs would cover the cost. something to think about. i admit i have never thought of ad clicks as a revenue source, just clutter, but now am really thinking about shifting my focus and joining satan to create sticky content to get ad clicks!
