How's your self-esteem?

Recommended Posts

Quote

Here's a conundrum: if I think my self-esteem is too high, does that mean that it's actually really low? If I think that I think that I'm better than I am, doesn't that mean that I KNOW that I suck?

My head hurts. :D

Kel, you just gave me a headache!

Ah yes I am, and as such I can't blame anything but myself for not being perfect. It doesn't even matter than NO ONE is perfect. If I'm not perfect, I am less than what I should be. :S:S:D

It's retarded, but more true than I'd like it be.

i once heard that you can "find perfection in the acceptance that things are imperfect."

...or some psycho-babble crap like that. ;)

I'm happy with myself. I yam whats I yam. Can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man. :P

I'm not very photogenic at all. Occasionally I get a picture I totally love, and sometimes I'm like ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. But I'm happy with myself. :)

The pic you have with your name is pretty photogenic ;)

Awww... that's sweet. Thanks! :$ I like your picture too! ;)

Amen to that!

I think I'm good lookin', and it does go to my head; but I certainly don't let anyone else notice that...accept my wife. She gets all riled up when I act like a cocky ass.

Well, I don't know what you look like, but your jumpsuit's sexy. ;)

Old picture, old jumpsuit.

Attached is a more recent picture (conveniently hiding my bald head ... the aspect that makes me an ugly duckling). This picture was taken last December in Moab moments before I contemplated my mortality in a decision to jump off of a cliff.

As I said, I'm not the ugliest duck in the pond. But the girls don't swarm my way. It's all good. Less money needed to spend on a girl on dinner and gifts means more money and time to spend on jumping and gear.

Oh and I'm not looking for sympathy posts. I'm just telling it as I see it. B|

By whom? Was that me? I said you look "different" in pictures. :D

And Steve, you look very hot to me! :)

LOL....no, it wasn't you. I've been looking at some of the Dublin photos of me and I'm glad there isn't more:D:D I was looking rough.

Depends on the day and the picture. And whether I care that day that I'm single. On a good day, I look at pics and say "I am all that and a bag of chips and fuck if I know why the men of the world haven't figured that out" and other days I just think "I think I'll go eat the bag of chips because there's no point in staying healthy anyway!" (then I remember I stay healthy for other reasons and step away from the Pringles...)

So I'd say it's about where it should be on average.

I'm confident on the inside (Finally). Physical beauty is not everything. When someone is comfortable in their skin, it creates the appearance of outside beauty. I've never had confidence about my physical aspects...but it doesnt matter because I'm happy with the person I am and who I have become. :)
Edited to add: Oh, and I accept that I'm a total dork and dont try to hide it. It seems to work well for me. :P

what miss amnada said....being comfortable in your skin takes many a life time!

Only w/in the last couple of years have i realized the same damn thing...being really comfortable about who YOU are and NO ONE ELSE...that's beauty right there...it seems that if you're able to figure that out, you're ahead of so many others.

...and just where you need to be.

I gotta go with (A) here.
DAMN! I thought I was a lot cuter than that!

This could have alot to be with spending a lifetime as a an arragant cocky bastard who is finally starting to learn I dont quite know as much as I thought I did...
Or either I am just getting old.;)

Actually I will go out of my way to make sure that I am in as few pictures as possible. That guy in those pictures is no where near as good looking as I used to think I was!!:)

My self-esteem sucks right now... Mainly due to the fact that I really let myself go for the 2 years I was out of the sport.

I am bigger now than I have ever been in my life. I hate it. I don't feel even remotely attractive. This is only magnified when I see a pic of me. I do not do well in pics. I think I look better in person, but that ain't saying much...

The only way I attract women seems to be with my "personality" and that I am always trying to keep a smile on everyone's face. Even if it is at my expense.

Oh well, I intend to start training and get rid of this fat arse SOON...

I can fly a solid 150 mph plus on my belly without even arching hard... = "Fly Fat Ass Fly!!!"

Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!
