eBay spoof e-mail

Recommended Posts

I got a spoof e-mail, which looked exactly like any other eBay out bid notice. It was for something that I was actually out bid on. When I clicked on the link to bid again, it took me to some off beat site, tried to get a virus though (stopped by my software), tried to reset my home page, etc. The format of the link was slightly different from the real ones from eBay, but still had the item title, my max bid, etc. I forwarded it to eBay, who says that it was not sent by them. [:/]
