kelel01 1 #1 March 31, 2005 I know there are some artistic folks out here, so I need your help. If anyone designs a tattoo that I want, I'll give them $50. However, there's a catch: it needs to cover up one I currently have, so there are dimensions involved. It needs to be about 6 inches high, and at the top it needs to be about 6 inches wide. The tattoo I currently have is too high on my back, and it's 6 inches wide and about 2 inches high, green and blue. I know I'm probably going out on a limb here, but I'm asking y'all, because you're my largest audience. It doesn't have to be skydiving related, but it can be. If it's not, though, it needs to be girly - no flaming devil heads, dancing girls, or anything of the sort. Help a sista out!

Is it going on your back or on a limb, and if on a limb, which one? My wife is hotter than your wife.

kelel01 1 #6 March 31, 2005 I like stuff that's not cliche - no suns, moons, etc. Probably some sort of silhouette would work, because then it could be all black, so as to easily cover the colors. I kind of like the intricate swirling designs that are not necessarily tribal. Sorry I'm not much help. Any pointed questions for me? I'm better with those. dan_iv 0 #8 March 31, 2005 haveing tattoos myself it will be very difficult for someone to design a tattoo for a cover up job with out seeing what needs to be covered, it will have a huge impact on what kind of tattoo you could design to cover it.... got any pics of it? kelel01 1 #9 March 31, 2005 Hmmmm . . . not currently, but I'm sure I could get some. Maybe I'll work on that tonight.
Brains 2 #10 March 31, 2005 What kind of design do you currently have? Cover ups can be difficult. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
kelel01 1 #11 March 31, 2005 It's a vine with blue flowers.

kelel01 1 #13 March 31, 2005 That would suck when I was 80. I can see myself in the nursing home, gown open in the back, with a droopy "sexy biotch" tat on my back. You're cute, though.
ccowden 0 #14 March 31, 2005 You could always have "granny" added between sexy and biotch when you get older. See, problem solved!
dan_iv 0 #15 March 31, 2005 QuoteIt's a vine with blue flowers. ok, that doesn't sound too bad, but i'll wait for you to post a pic before I try to help you out w/ a new design, honestly though your best bet is to go to the shop / artist you are going to have do the cover up and let him see what you have and design somethign to your specifications... kelel01 1 #16 March 31, 2005 Yeah, I should do that. I just think the only thing that'll really work is a canopy or something, and I'd rather have a skydiver draw it, because we know what can opies actually look like.
livendive 8 #17 March 31, 2005 On a related note, I've come up with the basic concept of what I want for my 10 year sky-birthday, but I am TERRIBLE at drawing. Anyone here really good at translating a concept into something that looks good on paper/skin? It's fairly complex and would probably take some time, for which I might be willing to pay some reasonable amount, whether it be cash, a couple jump tickets, or beer. I might be able to just photoshop it, but that'd only get the concept without any artistic element. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" Brains 2 #18 March 31, 2005 Ok, "intricate swirling designs" made me immiately think "celtic" so here are some ideas. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
Brains 2 #19 March 31, 2005 One more. These were more for ideas on celtic designs, not actual tattoos. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
kelel01 1 #20 March 31, 2005 I like that Tree of Life one. I really like the shape of it, I think.
Brains 2 #21 March 31, 2005 QuoteI like that Tree of Life one. I really like the shape of it, I think. I think it would be a really cool tat in black and grey, and depending where the vine/flowers are, the tree may cover them well. Let me play with it and see what i can do. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
kelel01 1 #22 March 31, 2005 Can you make it a smidge girlier? Not sure exactly what I mean by that, but it's because I'm not an artist AT ALL. My stick figures are practically unidentifiable as such.
