BRYANGOESBOOM 0 #1 April 2, 2005 I know most skydivers are broke but...... do any of you set a budget for the month or per weekend on what you will spend jumping and if you do have a budget set what is it??? im not talking about gear and all that good stuff just jumping???? im going to try but i dont know if i have the power to fight this addiction Not only will you look better, feel better, and fuck better; you'll have significantly increased your life expectancy. --Douva
freeflir29 0 #2 April 2, 2005 Luckily...........I don't have to. I'm so lazy that there's NO WAY I can break my bank account. It's the packing that wears me down and I'm FAR to cheap to pay a packer unless I'm doing "working" jumps.
Tink1717 2 #3 April 2, 2005 I budget $240/month for jumps and $160 for gear and maintenance. What doesn't get spent from that $500 usually winds up at a sushi bar.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off. -The World Famous Tink. BillyVance 35 #6 April 3, 2005 If you can spend $400 a month skydiving, you're a bastard! I used to spend all my money on skydiving, averaging 200+ jumps a year, and I charged a lot of it to my credit cards. I was pretty bad about it. Nowadays after getting married and buying a house, I'm lucky if I can squeeze in 50 to 70 jumps a year, and I try to pay in cash or check, NO credit cards... It ain't easy though...."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
Andrewwhyte 1 #7 April 3, 2005 Setting a firm budget that cannot be exceeded is one of the sevices provided for me by Humoungus Bank for the thousands in interest and charges I give them each year. they treat my money like it was their own.
