Does anyone have a puppy I can borrow?

Recommended Posts

It would be so nice to have a little doggie sitting on my bed with me to watch tv with and pet and talk to. Anyone out there got a loaner I could use for the next week or so?

Something fluffy and cute like a Cocker Spaniel or a Lhasa Apso but not too big please.

Just drop it off at my place. I'll be here.

I've got two I'd be happy to loan you but I'm afraid they don't quite fit the size criteria....

[:/]

I need something that isn't very strong so it won't pull me too hard when we go for walks. Something under 5 pounds would be even better but then they get kind of funny looking.

I have an 8 1/2 month old Boxer girl you can borrow...

...she's not allowed on furniture, but it's never stopped her before!!

She comes fully equipped with collar, shots, food, and a 30yr old male with his own rig who packs fast!:D

I hope you don't like feeling your feet though - she's nearly 40lbs!!

[pic:Daddy was in the air...so she "protected" my packing mat]awwww.....:o

Are you ok, Shannon? I read on a prior thread a post from you that indicated that you had spine surgery recently[:/], and I was wondering how you are doing now. How is the recovery for this kind of surgery? I don't know if you had a whole thread about your surgery, so sorry if I am asking for something that you may have already posted while I was on vacation. That kind of surgery sounds quite harsh, so feel better soon, sweetie. :)

Hi Rosa! Welcome back.

Yeah I had spine surgery almost 2 weeks ago. I've been suffering from nasty neck and back pain that was radiating down my arms from a herniated disk. I had a disk removed and a titanium cage put in at C-7 which is upper back, lower neck area. They fused above and below as well. This all stemmed from a car accident many years ago and then a few other things like a skateboarding flop and a really hard opening. I think it just all adds up.

Unfortunately recovery is slow going. I went to work Monday all day and I over did it a little bit. Then I worked yesterday for a half day and came home because I was really hurting. I decided to take today off.

I can't skydive for 6 months and I'm probably out from BASE jumping for 9 months to a year except maybe some slider up stuff. It's a real bummer now but the good news is that hopefully when I'm all healed up I wont be in pain anymore and I can go on with my life. I'd rather give up a year of extreme fun and have the rest of my life to enjoy it than to keep living in pain. Plus think of all the money I'm saving from not jumping! Whoo hoo I can pay off my credit cards!

So in the long run this is a very good thing but it sucks right now. Luckily I have some great friends on this website that check in on me and send me happy thoughts and good vibes. :)

I know a girl who has two of them, I think. All I've seen so far are their little pink noses.
