BritPaul 0 #1 April 11, 2005 As discussed briefly @ Hollister Mayhem this weekend... (and since none of the drunken people involved in the conversation could remember their answers...) IF you could travel faster than the world rotates, and flew westbound from the same point, non stop in 22 hours... ... would you see yourself taking off? wingnut 0 #2 April 11, 2005 yes, if you could do it in less time than it would take for a second to happen actuallyyou would have to gointo negatrive time...hence traveling back in time..... let me go find the thread where bill von talked about it... www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=667599;search_string=travel;#667599 ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
DrunkMonkey 0 #3 April 11, 2005 I dunno, but when the Brits and the Frogs still flew the Concorde, a flight from London Heathrow to JFK Intn'l would get you there a half hour earlier than your departure time...due to time zones.
SBS 0 #4 April 11, 2005 Well, uh, YA! If you wanted to rip open a gaping hole in the space time continuem, and kill us all... Duh! _____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...
BenHall 0 #5 April 11, 2005 Yes but for that pesky international date line. You would land an hour earlier than you took off, just on the next day. That's the fun part flying over the pacific though...you get to land 6 hrs before you took off! But then you can't sleep for a week so the novelty quickly wears off.
