Beerlight 0 #5 April 11, 2005 That would be very cool... The launch "window" opens on May 15. That may/may not be the actual day of launch..... Buck RTF: STS-
RkyMtnHigh 0 #6 April 11, 2005 I'm definitely doing it...I'm only 4 hours drive south from there and have places to stay up there. I'm online to get the parking pass for viewing the launch. It will be very kuhl _________________________________________
justaflygirl 0 #7 April 11, 2005 If I had a way to get there from Lakeland (near zhills) I would love too, that would be so awesome!
RkyMtnHigh 0 #8 April 11, 2005 I think I might rent a minivan for us to crowd into with a refreshments cooler, of course so only one parking pass is needed. Working out the details... _________________________________________

n2skdvn 0 #10 April 11, 2005 found this on line Off-site Viewing Locations Launch The following are some of the most popular off-site locations for launch viewing: Along the Indian River on U.S. Highway 1, especially in Titusville. The Bee Line Expressway, also called State Road 528. The portions of the Bee Line crossing over the Indian River (the Bennett Causeway) and the Banana River are good vantage points. Off State Road A1A along the Atlantic Ocean in Cocoa Beach. Jetty Park (321) 783-7111 at Port Canaveral, on the Atlantic Ocean just south of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station border. Both Space Shuttle and expendable launch vehicle liftoffs can be viewed from here. The park is open all day year-round. Admission fees are $5 per automobile and $7 per recreational vehicle.if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN my site
Nutz 0 #11 April 11, 2005 Don't mean to rain on your parade but, I do not think we are going to make that launch date. We have until sometime in June to make the window I believe and there has been talk recently about slipping the date. You need to be flexible if you are going to go and watch a launch, the schedule can and more often than not, change at a moments notice. "Don't! Get! Eliminated!" wmw999 2,587 #12 April 11, 2005 The window is May 15 - June 3. Rollout was a couple of days late, and we don't plan on hurring things up.
