Acensky 0 #1 April 11, 2005 As my roommate and I were driving into Salem, we got on the topic that there are no 'I's in Oregon licence plates, execpt for custom ones. But that got me thinking, do other states not put the "I" into their plates because it looks like a '1'? Do any of your licence plates have an "I" in them? kelel01 1 #2 April 11, 2005 What about Os? I've never noticed there not being those characters on license plates before, but it would certainly make sense.
masterrig 1 #3 April 11, 2005 Just for that reason... the 'I', looks like a '1' at a distance. So, states do not use the letter 'I' Chuck
kingbunky 3 #4 April 11, 2005 i had the customs guys on both sides of the line (canada - us) ask me what my plate was. it's DOOOOOR. the 'O' vs. '0' thing got them confused. funks 1 #6 April 11, 2005 Here in VA you find that a lot of the little jackass kids who drive the stupid ass hondas with the idiotic exhausts have combinations of 1's and I's on their license plates...for ex... 1II11I1. Too bad they dont realize that their cars are actually slow and a cop would have no problem getting close enough to read them.....
Acensky 0 #7 April 11, 2005 I have never thought about the O vs. 0. I will have to look at those next time I go driving. HeatherGarbage bags do not make good parachutes.
