BirdBabe1 0 #1 March 30, 2005 At high noon, I set a boiling, hot tea pot back further on the stove with the spout open and facing towards me. It swung just right to land boiling water on my left leg. I just returned from the ER. I have two in. of 2nd degree burn and 5 in. of 1st degree burn. I'll have to treat it like baby skin, keep it covered from the sun, take lots of Juice Plus, and eat blueberries but not too much else. Annie picked up my prescription for lower tab. I'm definitely thankful that I've been so active the past few weeks. Bird so babe? Olivia

BirdBabe1 0 #4 April 13, 2005 Even if the injury is not from skydiving . . . it is amazing how the body is designed to repair itself. My 3.5 by 8 cm burn is healing to a very delicate pink, which is covered in pink in these photos. In the 1996 photo, I think it is most interesting that I was wearing pink after a knee injury from a bicylcle in tow of a golf cart episode. Time flies! Always enjoy the moments! Even if you're with a non-skydiver. Birdbabe Olivia
slug 1 #5 April 13, 2005 The Kitchen is a like a industrial work environment. Sharp blades, hot liquids, open flames, bad food etc. The wife was removing a fondue pot from the stove when the handle seperated from the fondue pot spilling boiling oil on her leg The good news is the "boss" was wearing blue jeans and combat boots, so she wasn't injured. The nylon carpet otoh melted.. If the "Boss" had been dressed like Mrs Cleaver. Folks be careful in the kitchen, shit happens!!! R.I.P.
Travman 6 #6 April 13, 2005 Statistically women are more likely to kill their husbands in the kitchen.. plenty of boiling water and knives on hand I guess.
