EdC 0 #1 April 13, 2005 Any pros or cons as to using this service? My main concern is security. Big Ed
PhreeZone 20 #2 April 13, 2005 P2P tosses security right out the window for the most part. Files on all P2P services are full of viruses, worms, backdoors, hijackers, spyware, malware and things that you don't want to even think about being on your PC. Think about it... you are accepting files (potentially executable files) from unknown and untrusted sources.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
SarahC07 0 #3 April 13, 2005 And on a slightly less (computerly ) educated note, I have been using Limewire for 6 or so months now. And as far as I can tell my computer still functions properly. I have spybot S&D and Ad-Aware installed and use them frequently. Just my 2 cents
 Balls 0 #4 April 13, 2005 Limewire is the best P2P I have seen so far. Just be careful what you are downloading and run search and destroy software for ad and spyware.---------------------------------------- ....so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat."
