APA style

I have never written APA style before, and now I have a teacher who is demanding we do. I am familiar with MLA.


Taken from the instructions:

Your paper must have the following elements formatted in AP5th edition:

1. Title Page (I got this down)
2. Abstract (100 - 150 Words) (I got this down, basically a description of my paper)
3. 6-8 pages of text with appropriate headings and citations. (not hard, I am just unsure of the format)
4. Reference page. (I can use an online generator for this.

So my question is....am in APA 5th edition style if I just type away, inlcuding references and headings for 6 -8 pages?

All the online samples make use of theories and hypothesis and proofs and ridiculous junk that would take forever to apply. Can I just type?
