weegegirl 2 #1 April 18, 2005 So I park my car at the train station this morning and start frantically looking around. DOH! I left my cell phone at home! I almost drove home for it. I really don't like talking on phones, and rarely do during the business day, but it provides a certain comfort level that people can reach you if they need to. Is that weird??? flyangel2 2 #2 April 18, 2005 I'm the same way. I may not talk on it at all that day, but I need to have it close just in case.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. kai2k1 0 #10 April 18, 2005 I am sooo addicted to my cell phone. I used like 2000 daytime minutes last month. Thank god for rollover minutes... masterrig 1 #12 April 18, 2005 I don't think I am. I leave it (cell phone) in my pick-up. I have a phone in my house and one in my shop. To me, that's plenty of telephones.Chuck
flyingferret 0 #13 April 18, 2005 Yep, you are not weird. Well not for that anyway. I almost never turn mine off, even if I turn it silent (then I can still see missed calls) With battery life these days why turn it off? I like having it in case of emergencies, and like loved ones to have it in case of emergencies. Additionally, I almost never use my home phone, so anything important is coming to my cell. If you want to go even a step further. I expense my cell phone bill to work, and it is sometimes needed during the day or after hours. While I know it is selfish to assume that people who have a cell phone should be available all the time, it is annoying when people treat it like a wired home phone by leaving it at home, etc. But of course, just because I treat it that way, does not mean they should.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. livendive 8 #17 April 18, 2005 My cell is my only phone. I have a land-line at my house for dial-up access, but I don't even know what the phone number is, and there's no phone hooked up to it. That said, my cell doesn't get a lot of use other than as an alarm clock. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!"
