pilotdave 0 #1 April 20, 2005 Didn't see anyone else mention it... Some show about surviving skydives gone wrong. Anyone got a tivo? Dave
LaDonna 0 #2 April 20, 2005 It is on at 10pm on the west coast as well. I will tape it for you. It is about the skydiver who catches his jumpsuit on the plane's step when he jumps. FGF#
funks 1 #3 April 20, 2005 getting ready to watch it...no tivo though
AggieDave 6 #4 April 20, 2005 Too bad they didn't call Aggieland, we have the 182 in which the incident really happened. The step that caused the problem was cut off by the time the plane came to Aggieland, though. Gypsy (that's what we call the plane due to decals under each droop tip that say "Gypsy Jumpers") is one fast climbing 182, too. Fastest stock 182 I've ever been in.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
weegegirl 2 #5 April 20, 2005 Whey was the original incident? I missed the beginning of the broadcast. When I first turned it on, I was really confused as to what the heck they were trying to do. Who are the guys doing to reinactment and where is this at?

AggieDave 6 #7 April 20, 2005 What a dumbshit answer. Climbing out would could have totally worked? He's got a LOT more experience then to make a comment like that. Sure, BUT the real pilot knew that if he fell out, the plane would crash and his friend would have died and the plane could have killed a lot of people. Never mind that in real life the pilot didn't have a hook knife...although he did try to help, laying on the floor holding onto a seatbelt. What would whuffos think about all of this? Or should I ask, what are the whuffos thinking about all of this?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
PhreeZone 20 #8 April 20, 2005 One of them is Troy Hartman. Pretty infamous from his Senseless Acts of Video and skysurfing a few years ago. I knew Try had posted on his website about 18 months ago that he was in talks with a new TV project but he could'nt say what it was... glad to see he landed the gig. The pilot that was flying the plane was able to reach out to the step. If he had a hook knife he would have been able to cut the guy free.

SkydivingNurse 0 #11 April 20, 2005 Note to self: buy about a dozen extra hook knives for the DZ Troy is the reason I've always wanted to skydive.
weegegirl 2 #12 April 20, 2005 Yeah. I made the same note at the end of that program. I lost my hook knife a while back and have stupidly been jumping without. Gonna change that one before getting in the air again.
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
