Whats your jumping goals for Summer 05?

Recommended Posts

OK.....people get burnt out on things fast if they have nothing to strive for. Whats everyones goals for summer 2005?

My goal is to try and get a coach rating. I never wanted to do something like in skydiving because I didnt want it to take away the enjoyment. I played golf, now I am golf pro who has lost of the passion for the game due to always being around it. Talking to another poster made me think, and want to make a goal, and thats it.

So try and become a coach and jump without having to be tipped, slot paid for, and just try and give as much knowledge forward.

You?
Joe
PS-I have a lot for 19,000+ jumps...hahahaha

--Have fun
--Jump as much as possible (conveniently, 4/29 is my last day at work for a while... B|)
--Visit a bunch of new DZs (look out DZ.commers in Oregon, California, Arizona, Utah and maybe Idaho, I'm coming your way next month. Other destinations TBD.)
--Get more confident jumping with others and asking others to jump with me
--Take Brian Germain's course in June (already signed up!)
--Try some freeflying
--Get a lot of coaching, both formal and informal
--Have fun!

-get my b before our otter boogie so i can get in on the four-way comps
-make 75 jumps before the season ends (trips to xkeys, sne and perris should help!)
-get a rigger ticket next winter. it would probabl ymean a trip south in the winter, which would suck, not!

1. Break 1000 jumps. (Got 121 to go)
2. Take Scott Millers' course. (6-4 to 6-5 @ Delmarva for those interested)
3. Get chest rated.
4. Start the AFF card skills checkoff.
Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off.
-The World Famous Tink. (I never heard of you either!!)

1.) Get C license
2.) Get coach rating
3.) Get good on my head.
4.) Get better in a sit.
5.) Cram as many wingsuit jumps into the above 4 goals as possible.

I don't think I have enough money for all of those things... [:/]

Oh what the heck, let's add "Get B license" to that list. Assuming I can get water training somewhere, the rest of the requirements give me something specific to aim for.

Actually I set my goal for this year at the end of last year. I'll be making a lot less "me" skydives this year and a lot more "give" skydives.
I will spend most of the year jumping with novice and intermediate level folks wanting to learn more RW skills. Hopefully my meager knowledge base will allow some of these folks to discover the joys that I have over the years.
