Calling all BOHEMIANS

Recommended Posts

I just read Bohemian manifesto: a field guide to living on the edge
by Laren Stover, Paul Himmelein, and Patrisha Grainger Robertson. >:(

I loved it. I am a Bohemian. I just realized this.
Anyone else out there that fit that description? :D
Please feel free to reply to my posts and pm's, but only if you're smart enough to understand what they really mean.

Well, I've never read the book, but in some ways yes, I could call myself a bohemian, gypsy/hippie-type vagabond:D;).
What does the book say a Bohemian is? :)
edit to add: I don't know what you'd call me. :|
I'm not materialistic; I love to travel, be in the outdoors, am creative/artistic, love to give my possessions away ( if I don't need them:D), consider myself a "wanderer", love to meet people of all types, can make my home where I want it, connect with people who look at life differently. I have always felt different from my friends; some of the things I think get a little crazy. I would still hitchhike if I could ( and maybe have/will); people that inspire me are those who live humble lives, giving to others and connecting with people of all types.;)

Wow, that describes me too! I get to post but don't have to do all the work typing! :D

The only thing is, I am not like other "bohemians" who don't settle down in a single place to live for a while. I've really only lived in two general areas in my life, except for going to college. I am not a "cutaway" person -- yet. I may very well end up being so. I have learned to not think that I know at any given point what I am going to know, think or feel at any point in the future.

I consider that to be one of the more valuable lessons I've learned in life.

That, and "nothing really matters."

Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening me...
Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off.
