WrongWay 0 #26 April 25, 2005 My good news is that despite the nasty, snowy weather the midwest experienced this weekend.....it's warm and sunny here in my little corner of Ohio!! It's beautiful and blue with little white puffy clouds.....a great day in the making. Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails. BillyVance 35 #27 April 25, 2005 The good news is that fellow deaf skydiver Mike Sweet successfully completed a 4 stack CRW formation on his first try with me as one of the other jumpers! I also had some stitches ripped out on a nose/vertical rib joint on one of the CRW jumps that was promptly repaired by the DZO so I could keep jumping that day! Would you also believe that we were doing CRW on a day that had upper winds howling at 80-85 mph at 13,000 feet? We were getting out 4 or 5 miles upwind from the DZ and facing the wind the whole time, getting pushed backward toward the DZ. 5 jumps like that yesterday, never landed out! skymama 37 #29 April 25, 2005 QuoteYEY! That's good! It seems like you had them for a long time! When can you jump again? I still have 4-6 weeks in a brace before i can start PT. I won't be jumping for awhile. But, I will jump again sometime this year on a brand new canopy, so that's a good thing. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Lindsey 0 #31 April 25, 2005 I have so much to do but I'm sitting here instead....lol Got my contract in the mail for my first job (residency) as a....ahem....doctor . It's hard to imagine that somebody's actually going to *pay* me for this. I've been going in so much debt the past few years, this is a nice change. It's a little overwhelming, though. I REALLY want to be good at what I do, but as the time draws nearer, I'm feeling just a tad apprehensive. linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. SkydivingNurse 0 #38 April 26, 2005 My good news is that I had my first skydiving dream last night. I wasn't falling, I wasn't under a canopy, I was packing Eh, whatever, I'll take it. With the weather around here, dreams are about all I have at this time. BTW, what I think prompted it was talking two people at work into making a tandem dive. One of them for her 50th birthday, and another for a present for her husband. I'm like some parachuting lobbyist or something.

Dagny 0 #41 April 26, 2005 QuoteGot my contract in the mail for my first job (residency) as a....ahem....doctor Whoa, now that IS good news! Congrats on getting through the madness and starting the next crazy ride! My good news is that, despite my apparent inherent ability to cause chaos in my own little world, I have finished my second year of school. The boards are looming in the oh-so-near future, but I'm totally psyched because in just two short months I will be working in the hospital...seeing real patients...moving one year closer to the day I can get MY contract (and my long white coat)! I'm gettin' ready to move to Florida's west coast. I ain't got no money, but I've got a whole helluva lotta optimism. It's going to be a good year. freeflir29 0 #42 April 26, 2005 Lets see............It only took 10 days of being in country but I finally have a team assignment. Yay........no more training cell!!! I also got to BZ0 my weapon today. So.........after carrying around a BRAND NEW M-4 for a week, I finally have something more effective than a noise maker. My Glock shoots pretty good but it's also BRAND NEW and needs a few thousand rounds through it to be properly broken in. It's supposed to be cloudy off and on for the next week. That SHOULD help to keep the heat down. Ummm.........we haven't had any mortars in at least 3-4 days.........maybe more. Ummmm...........I think I'm going to break the seal on my bottle of Cuban Bacardi tonight. I say why not!
