Guest #39 April 28, 2005 "Chang's Mongolian Grill" is the franchise around here - man, is that ever good eatin'! Selina, my Dad and my skydiving brother Scott Cates & his girlfriend joined me at the restaurant in Everett for my birthday last year. Amazon would have made it too, but she had something else going on that evening. I was first turned on to tabletop grilling in Korea. It's hard to describe, but it's something really special and different, and should be experienced by the armchair gourmand. I think it has to do with the way it's prepared. There is an immediacy and intimacy between you (who more or less whomps it up) and the chef (who grills it right in front of you) that is very satisfying - there isn't some staff member between you and the grill, and it doesn't happen in some kitchen - the brazier is right out there in the dining area. It also tastes like grilled stuff. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
