When you turn it off. I've given up any hope with the radio, I ended up getting one of those MP3 CD players and just listen to CDs whenever I'm in the car. Damn Clear Channel..... kelel01 1 #5 May 2, 2005 But how do you all know what to download if you don't listen to the radio? You just download willy nilly? Or are you never going to listen to new music again? I've always been confused about this concept.
justinb138 0 #6 May 2, 2005 QuoteBut how do you all know what to download if you don't listen to the radio? You just download willy nilly? Or are you never going to listen to new music again? I've always been confused about this concept. I usually download stuff from local bands, and sometimes I'll look up random stuff on CDnow.com. It's better than most of the stuff the have on the radio here.

I've always been confused about this concept. . If you *must* download all the crap that the rest of the country is listening to, then you can go to Billboard.com and use the top 100, top 40 and such of each genre to find "new" music.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." kelel01 1 #21 May 2, 2005 Just because a band's not well known doesn't mean they're good. There are an awful lot of music snobs out there who deliberatley steer away from anything mainstream . . . and mainstream's not always bad. Can you sample songs on those websites? I'm not downloading anything without hearing it first.
AggieDave 6 #22 May 2, 2005 Not from billboard, that I know of, but I'm sure you could find something with just a little googling.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

peacefuljeffrey 0 #25 May 2, 2005 I'm sick of: Radar Love Young Lust (from The Wall) Take the Money and Run and any other classic rock songs that the radio stations seem to think we need to hear 1000 times a week. There are so many great songs by great bands, but they select like the "top three" of each band and that's all they'll play. I've pretty much given up on radio. -Jeffrey-Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
