I myself have always wanted telekinesis, the ability to move and manipulate objects with the mind.

Teleporting and languages would rock too!

Energy blasts are cool, but destructive.
I can already seduce any guy I want, so that's out.
Telepathy would be very useful, but kinda scary - I know what goes on in my head and that's enough!
Super-intelligence would lead to the languages, but there's much I'd sometimes rather not know about.
Invisibility goes against my nature - I'm outgoing and a klutz. Invisible or not, you could find me!
Super strength would be handy, but telekinesis can handle that too!

Part-way will have to do - my powers were corralled along with the rest of me 2 years ago. Good thing too, they are dangerous!!

Another cool power would be miniaturization - both of yourself and things around you. Moving would be a snap! Cats could be a problem though...

In the film "Phenomenon", the lead character says something along the lines of: "If I could choose between a flash of light from some alien craft and a brain tumor, I'd choose the tumor, because it's here, inside of us. I am the potential for what everyone can be. The tumor just helped me get here."

Of the listed powers, most of them have conspicuous effects that may cause people to shun you from fear and bigotry when they see what you can do.
However, two of the powers (in my opinion) are more subtle and potentialy possible for exceptional mortals. The one is Super Intelligence and the other is Ultra Seductiveness.

I think Super Intelligence would be something of a curse. Lesser minds all around you would make you feel like you were living in a zoo, with nobody to really talk to and nobody else capable of understanding some basic (in your mind) principles. Could make a person lonely and frustrated.

That leaves Ultra Seductiveness... to live the dream that most of us have had since we were teenagers.

I chose Telepathy. I think it would easily be the most powerful of powers. Look what telepathy can do:

1) You don't need telekinesis - you just have somebody else move something for you
2) Teleportation? Why? You'll know what's going on wherever you want, and you can avoid danger by looking into the minds of everyone, anyway
3) Super physical strength - I don't need it for anything. And telepathy would allow me to kick the ass of the super strong.
4) Destructive energy blasts - Again, telepathy elimnates the need for that stuff.
5) Shape changing (objects and creatures) - if I'm telepathic the shape changers won't fool me.
6) Super intelligence - I don't need it. I only have to read the minds of the super smart.
7) Knowledge of all languages - this is tricky. Could I read Russian thoughts?
8) Ultra-seductiveness - I wouldn't need this. I could read the minds of all the ladies and know which ones I could score and what to do to score.

I didn't think of this until now, but what about the power of being ablo to rewind time, let's say you did something worng and you could go backwards to fix it, or even better you can go and repeat a weekend that went great!
