Removing mud stains from main

Been jumping in Spain and landed out in a lot of MUD. For some reason I didn't trust the water (since it's treated with Chloride) so I've let the mud dry and once dried remove it with a towel. However, I still have big mud stains on my canopy. Mostly on the top skin and right stab. What's the best way to remove the mud stains from the fabric?

if you don't trust tap water, just get a rag and some distilled water. but be careful not to use more than you have to and not to wet the parts that don't need it.

these guys make the ZP that many modern parachutes are made of. The section has a great know-how on cleaning the fabirc :
