I got an interview!!!

Recommended Posts

Hahahaha at the freaking liquor store. That's the only place hiring and I'm STILL gonna take a pay cut. Oh well, never work till midnight, nor sunday's and if I work Saturday it'll only be for 5 hours so I could still technically jump. Only thing that sucks Is I'll have to drive back into town Saturday for the interview at 3:45, we have a demo that morning so atleast I'll get 3 jumps in beforehand. Then drive back to the dz to finish up the rest of the day there

See what outsourcing does to the youth of the nation, it turns them into alcholics!!! Anyone wanna deal on a keg?

Well I just had my first interview. They're only hiring at min wage, I believe that's $5.15/hour... That means I take about a 30% paycut, but it's a freaking job. I think it went well and they're very flexable with the schedules which is cool.

I guess if I get the job I'm on the bottom of the todem pole again:S Lesson learned, make yourself into something that no one can replace, that-a-way they don't ship your jobs overseas

I'm so glad to hear that. I'm so tired of people complaining that they can't get a job. There are jobs out there, sometimes you just can't be real picky.

Dont think so... have a friend that worked for a company and was really specialized in his direction. They got rid of him because he became too expensive. Now he is stuck with being way overqualified.

Also having read a lot of books on the job market, careers, etc. This is not such a great idea.

Just do what you do really well, let people see that. Be a person of character, do things right and 100%. Dont screw up something you can do right or fix. If you then get screwed, you did everything you could. You WILL find another opportunity soon coming your way.

By the way... What is your father saying about all this?

Hey, take pride in the fact that you are working and earning a living. A job does not define you, the way you work does.

Cheer up and count the blessings.

Time for more caipirinha.

Ok so the interview went well Monday evening. Felt really comfortable, but now I'm getting more and more nervous. They said they'd contact me late Tuesday or Wednesday... Nothing last night and nothing yet today. It's driving me NUTTS!!! I wish they'd send out sorry you didn't get the job notifications too so I'm not just waiting around all day for a freaking email or phone call. Hahah I even went as far as making sure it wasn't in my bulk mail box my mistake.

I'm not good at waiting dang it:S
