jceman 1 #1 May 3, 2005 Ok, folk, here's the deal: The last donation I received was on the 25th of February until I got a check from Baghdad today. As of today, I have a little over a grand. The cost for a tent like last year's is $950, the smaller one is $550. I talked with Beth from WFFC today (Snowwhite here) and we have the primo spot again this year. TLML and I are taking a sabbatical from the convention this year. So the question is, will there be enough deezeedotcommers using the tent this year that will be using the large tent, or do we want to go with the smaller one? If the larger tent is used, I will need to collect more donations for furniture and misc. expenses, if we go with the smaller one, I can call a halt to collections efforts. Either way, I will need someone to send the expense money to furnish the tent -- any volunteers? Any and all contributions will be appreciated by all those attending WFFC '05, any excess will go towards 2006; if you are comfortable using Paypal, click here to make your contribution. If you prefer to send money to me directly, email me here at dropzone.com or PM me for snail mail addy. Have a ball folk! Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

PhreeZone 20 #3 May 4, 2005 I'm onthe border for this year as well. Personally even if I was going a small tent would be best probally. I generally think that the tent was way underused last year and I know a lot of the faces that were in it alot last year probally won't be there this year.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
flyangel2 2 #4 May 4, 2005 QuoteLooks like I'll be M.I.A. as well. OH NO! It won't be the same Well, I think I was only in the tent twice, so my vote is for the smaller one. Jib 0 #5 May 4, 2005 I think the big question is do you want to pack in the tent since about half of it was taken up by couches and half was available for packing. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. flyangel2 2 #6 May 4, 2005 QuoteI think the big question is do you want to pack in the tent since about half of it was taken up by couches and half was available for packing. That's a lot of money for packing space, when there are tents set up by the LO tents for free space to pack. But it's not up to me. As I don't pack when I jump at WFFC. Need to support the packers.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. wingnut 0 #7 May 4, 2005 i'll throw my vote in for a smaller tent, the bigger tent was nice, but realy it was just alot of packing space... smaller is sometimes better.... easier to light and such too... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"

jceman 1 #11 May 4, 2005 QuoteGet the small tent. Sunny has spoken! No, I had pretty much come to that conclusion anywho -- smaller tent it is.. Now as for the second question ... Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
SkymonkeyONE 4 #12 May 4, 2005 I already told you in the other thread that I thought the big tent was overkill. It is not going to kill people to have to pack in the corner, like they did the first year we had the tent. Likewise, unless something happens in my work schedule I will not be making it to the convention this year either.
