Jill, you'll have to forgive me, as I've slept since then, but who has vouched for you? I don't recall a specific PM on the matter.

Also, who are you? Not to sound mean, or trite, but the people on the DD list are a pretty active part of the community, hence, we all know each other.

While we all appreciate your participation in the forums, you've only got 91 posts over the last 3 years. That's not a bad thing, but it does mean you're a bit less well known to the rest of us. However, you're actively posting now so keep it up.

I'm sure you'll understand that we'd rather make and recieve calls from people we're familiar with than from total strangers. Capice?

And to everyone else, I'll state it again, the Drunk Dial list is not a popularity contest so don't get upset if you're not able to join yet because your forum stats don't rate yet.

If someone is going to continuously pander on about it then that's a surefire way for me to deny them access.

I seem to remember one of the "old" rules when this list first was concieved was that you had to actually have met and partied with others on the list to even be considered, posts had nothing to do with it back then. This again was all based off of the DZ.com boogies where we all got to know one another over a few beers and it wasn't strange to get a call once in a blue moon after the boogie was over from a new drunk friend. The only reason an actual list was made up was because not everyone who agreed to the DD concept had each others numbers readily available. The list is about friendship and those you have met at the boogies that you don't mind hearing from..even at 3 am when they are drunk

I'm not upset that I can't see the forum. And I don't want to be on the newest list. Maybe if I wasn't green I would, but after getting numerous phone calls regarding the shutdown of Bonfire I was about ready to change my cell number. Having it available on a list online - even a carefully selected list - doesn't seem like such a great idea anymore.

Pretty much everyone I know already has my cell # anyway. And most of them won't DD me anymore cuz they know they'll be gettin' my voice mail at that hour.
