billvon 3,119 #1 January 6, 2009 Recently someone posted a picture of a seriously misrigged reserve, with line groups not going through the proper grommets. I can't find it via a search. Does anyone recall this post, or where the reserve was seen?

BUBLHED 0 #6 January 6, 2009 That's scary! It does bring up a question though. In one of the posts someone brings up cutting the slider, which from the pics looks like a good idea. My question is what ever happened to split sliders? We collapse them pull them down behind our heads, we used to just split them. Just curious, haven't seen one in along time. Edit to ad. never mind found it. Pain in the arse to put back together. I have to agree, however being a big guy I'm not comfortable with mini-risers.ATTACK LIFE ! IT'S GOING TO KILL YOU ANYWAY!!!! billvon 3,119 #7 January 6, 2009 Split sliders were often used on accuracy canopies to allow the lines to spread more. These have been replaced by RDSes lately for very high performance canopies. I think both would be a mistake on a reserve, which is generally designed to be as simple and robust as possible.
BUBLHED 0 #8 January 6, 2009 Agreed. The post about cutting the slider that was so badly mis-routed just brought back memories. Call me nostalgic.ATTACK LIFE ! IT'S GOING TO KILL YOU ANYWAY!!!!

ParaGear still sells them, easy enough to make yourself though. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
