vdschoor 0 #2 May 6, 2005 Dude.. you know you want to come to Byron.. . If that's too far for you, Hollister has a really nice crowd too!!
Katzeye 0 #3 May 6, 2005 Ahh, Monterey is my hometown! I hope you like the sleepy, small town atmosphere puncuated by some of the most eye-catching coastline the US has to offer. Byron is kinda close, Hollister is about an hour and there is a good group of belly and freefliers at the Monterey DZ. The Monterey DZ is actually in Seaside at the old Fort Ord airstrip. Landing area is a fishbowl, but not too advanced. You kinda setup over the go-cart track next door. Threw my mom out of a plane there for Mother's Day 3 years ago... man that was fun! Is a chicken omelette redundant?
WrongWay 0 #4 May 6, 2005 QuoteAhh, Monterey is my hometown! Sweet! You'll have to let me buy you a beer (or some other kind of beverage) and show me around town!! Yeah I'm hoping for that coastline to look as great as it does on mapquest! QuoteByron is kinda close, Hollister is about an hour and there is a good group of belly and freefliers at the Monterey DZ. Unfortunately, you used the word "good" in the title of your question. There are plenty of good dropzones in Northern California. I'd go to Byron if I was you.
