freeflyimpaired 0 #1 May 8, 2005 Hello. Hello............anybody out there? I'm usually just a lurker, but this saturday night stuff is pretty slow. I think I'll give this post whoring thing a shot. Weather sucks as usual here in the crazy state of Nebraska. Sounds like its not that great anywhere though. With the wife out of town and no jumping I'm sitting at home by myself waiting for someone to post something interesting. Anybody want to have a beer with me? I'm cute I promise. Or just post and tell me I'm not a loser for hanging out here on my weekends. I could use the positive reinforcement. Joe. Skolls081102 0 #2 May 8, 2005 Ahhhh, you're not a loser. I'm here with you. But you are right. It's quite dead here tonight. So much so, that I actuallt went and watched some TV for an hour. Just figured I'd check and see if anything was going on before I went to bed. freeflyimpaired 0 #4 May 8, 2005 Hey there is someone else here. Thanks for the reply I'm bored out of my mind. I don't know if I'll stay up much longer than one more beer or not, we'll see if any one else feels like posting or not. Checking out your profile, how come you haven't made a jump yet? If you don't mind me asking. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so." Skolls081102 0 #7 May 8, 2005 QuoteChecking out your profile, how come you haven't made a jump yet? If you don't mind me asking. Joe. Ummm...well.....I'm fat.. Have to lose about 45 pounds to make max jump weight at the DZ. So, I figured, whilst I wait to lose my weight, I'd read up on this whole skydiving thing, and see what I can learn before I make my first jump. And its worked so far. I know that I know absolutley nothing about this sport, but I know alot more than I did 6 months ago. I can't wait to make my first jump. I think about it all the time. Everyday- driving to and from work, at work, and obviously whenever I'm on here (which is pretty much everyday- damn I'm a loser..So hopefully in a few months (Maybe August or September) you'll be reading my "I Finally Made My First Jump" post. peacefuljeffrey 0 #8 May 8, 2005 Hey hey hey, I'm here too. We're not losers, we're just not out getting shitfaced and shortening our lives. I had myself a good day -- got a great email from a girl I like, had a great conversation with her too, got some exercise by going skating to downtown this evening, and now I'm macking on some homemade chicken fingers, brussels sprouts and southern style potato salad, watching a movie called "Best Men" that I got from walmart for $5.50... Tomorrow I'll be heading up to Sebastian to skydive skydive skydive! Blue skies, -Jeffrey-Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" freeflyimpaired 0 #12 May 8, 2005 QuoteTomorrow I'll be heading up to Sebastian to skydive skydive skydive! It's a good weekend. You costal people make me jealous. How many turbine dropzones do have within 6 hour of your driveway? Me.........I have Zero. I don't think you can find another place in the entire country that is farther from a turbine DZ than Lincoln, NE. 7 hours East or West (Denver or Chicago) 8 Hours north (Hutch, Minn.) or 9 South (Dallas). I need to move. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
