Hello.......

Hello. Hello............anybody out there?

I'm usually just a lurker, but this saturday night stuff is pretty slow. I think I'll give this post whoring thing a shot.

Weather sucks as usual here in the crazy state of Nebraska. Sounds like its not that great anywhere though. With the wife out of town and no jumping I'm sitting at home by myself waiting for someone to post something interesting.

Anybody want to have a beer with me? I'm cute I promise. Or just post and tell me I'm not a loser for hanging out here on my weekends. I could use the positive reinforcement.

Joe.

Ahhhh, you're not a loser. I'm here with you. But you are right. It's quite dead here tonight. So much so, that I actuallt went and watched some TV for an hour. Just figured I'd check and see if anything was going on before I went to bed.

Hey there is someone else here. Thanks for the reply I'm bored out of my mind. I don't know if I'll stay up much longer than one more beer or not, we'll see if any one else feels like posting or not.

Checking out your profile, how come you haven't made a jump yet? If you don't mind me asking.

Joe.

This state sucks for skydiving.

Ummm...well.....I'm fat..:( Have to lose about 45 pounds to make max jump weight at the DZ. So, I figured, whilst I wait to lose my weight, I'd read up on this whole skydiving thing, and see what I can learn before I make my first jump. And its worked so far. I know that I know absolutley nothing about this sport, but I know alot more than I did 6 months ago. I can't wait to make my first jump. I think about it all the time. Everyday- driving to and from work, at work, and obviously whenever I'm on here (which is pretty much everyday- damn I'm a loser..:)So hopefully in a few months (Maybe August or September) you'll be reading my "I Finally Made My First Jump" post.

Hey hey hey, I'm here too.

We're not losers, we're just not out getting shitfaced and shortening our lives. :P

I had myself a good day -- got a great email from a girl I like, had a great conversation with her too, got some exercise by going skating to downtown this evening, and now I'm macking on some homemade chicken fingers, brussels sprouts and southern style potato salad, watching a movie called "Best Men" that I got from walmart for $5.50...

Tomorrow I'll be heading up to Sebastian to skydive skydive skydive! :)

And you haven't even made a jump yet? Man the more jumps I make the less I can get it off my mind. Your gonna have it bad when you do start jumping. And it just gets more fun with every jump.

You costal people make me jealous. How many turbine dropzones do have within 6 hour of your driveway? Me.........I have Zero. I don't think you can find another place in the entire country that is farther from a turbine DZ than Lincoln, NE.

7 hours East or West (Denver or Chicago) 8 Hours north (Hutch, Minn.) or 9 South (Dallas).

I need to move.
Joe.

I'm here...........but for me it's almost 9 AM Sunday morning. I'm off to work in about 15 minutes. The weather here is great. Sunny, warm, barely a breeze. Too bad the insurgents like to shoot at everyone. :S

To late I'm already excited. I make it down to Texas every once in a while and I've been looking for a reason to go to Spaceland.

Awesome! Definately come down and visit Spaceland, or even Aggieland (I go there when I'm at school)! Many beautiful days of skydiving down here in the summer. The big columns of clouds are gorgeous. :)

Thats to bad. I'm sure you'll have fun anyway. I jumped naked for my 100th. Somebody snapped a pic shortly after landing, and it has haunted me since. Always turns up at the worst times. (new dropzones, first dates, job interviews) Definately wasn't worth it.

Are you gonna make that jump tommorro, or are you gonna be busy studying that flowing thermonuculear thingamajig?

Whoa...job interviews?! haha.. How'd that happen?Yeah, I figured there would be no possible way to keep something like that a secret from people that could embarrass you the most.

If anything is done other than studying, it'll be going to see mom for mothers day. (Dont forget!) I'm saving that jump for the last day of finals. ;)

I took care of my mothers day stuff today, just in case the weather will permit a few loads to fly tommorro. But I doubt it. I'll probably be sitting right here waiting for work to start on monday.

Saving it huh? That will be exciting. Let me be the first to pre-congratulate you on your 100th jump.

As for me, I should have gone to bed a long time ago. So I'm checking out. Thanks for hangin out on this fun filled saturday night.

Blue ones,
Joe.

P.S. I will take you up on that Case of beer somday.;)
