jumpergirl 0 #4 May 9, 2005 Thanks for posting that Arlo. I found a spot this weekend that I've been questioning ever since. That site helped. A little education, especially concerning something like melanomas is always good to know. Thanks! Chuck
 freeflir29 0 #8 May 9, 2005 Yep............my Dad has had several cancerous spots removed. Caused by a lifetime of working outside on the farm and somewhere close to 40,000 hours in the cockpit of aircraft. My best friends Mom died when I was 7 years old of skin cancer. She didn't check for it and by the time she did see a Dr she only lasted about 6 months. It's nothing to play around with! I can also assure you that I DO NOT have any unusual growths on my testicals. I checked again mere seconds ago.
 masterrig 1 #9 May 9, 2005 It's really scarey stuff. I've lost several friends and relatives over the years from it. I remember being told by my mom when I was a kid, to go outside and get some sun... it's 'good' for you! Back then, folks just didn't know. Good to here the 'boys' are healthy. I'll bet, there are very few of us that check or even know how. Chuck
 jumpergirl 0 #10 May 9, 2005 Hey Arlo, Thanks again for posting this! I have an appointment in 2 weeks to see about this spot on my shoulder. I probably wouldn't have done it if I hadn't seen your post. So thanks. (and chrisL, 15-20 minutes is such an underestimate! you guys are touching yourselves WAY more than THAT! )
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
