SkydiveNFlorida 0 #77 May 10, 2005 QuoteOkay I have two questions for you. Did it hurt? Do you think it was worth it? This does hurt, but it is very brief. Worth it depends on the individual. The initial pain is not that bad, but it takes a while to heal and you need to move it around a lot, keep it from getting infected, etc. Salt baths help. Healing times vary, approx 6 months. --Apparently they vary greatly, many in this thread have noted "days", but this was not my experience. My belly button also took months to heal. Maybe my body rejects piercings more than the average person??-- I eventually removed mine, not sure why, just got sick of it after a while and forgot what it was like not to have it. They are fun to play with and I'd consider doing it again, but not sure i'm ready for the maintenance right now.. like I said, takes a while to heal. fwiw, I wouldn't put anything down there that costed $1.99, get a ring that is made for the area and is ss or the like. -A
crotalus01 0 #78 May 11, 2005 nipple piercing was by far the most painful i ever had done (all my piercings have been removed now BTW), and i had a PA, an ampallang, septum, ears, tongue, and lip. my PA took about 4 weeks to heal up, my nipples took almost a year to fully heal (i.e. not cause discharge or pain). i would never get them done again. it probably didntr help that my piercer ran the needle under the actual nipples (through the aureola) to minimize the chance of rejection - i mean he pierced me DEEP). As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...
