Douva 0 #1 May 10, 2005 Ridin’ The Hell-Bound Train This here is the story of the hell-bound train. It’s a story of love and a story of pain. I knew what lay at the end of the tracks, But I chose to ride, and I never looked back. Though most of the cars are blacker than night, From the engine’s face glow two hexing blue lights. And the smoke that curls from out of the stack Ain’t in the spectrum between white and black. The train’s conductor is an odd little guy. He kind of limps when he walks, and his hat sits too high. But he’s friendly enough, and he won’t make you wait Because the hell-bound train’s never one minute late. Should such a description make you inquire What gives a man such a hell-bound desire, Understand it was the journey that sucked me in And made me ignore what lay at the end. Those who ride the train seem happy and hearty, As they whoop and they holler and they make it a party. They drink, and they swear, and they have a good time And give nary a thought to the end of the line. But when finally the train pulls into the station, There comes a swift end to this last celebration. And those who once sang and enjoyed the ride Fall down on their knees and at once start to cry. You might think they’d all beg for what they once had And decide here in Hell their old lives weren’t so bad. But I heard no such cries in all of that pain; I just heard the men begging to re-board the train.I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I have bachelor's in kicking ass and taking names.
