Woman run over; driver of Jeep sought

Police are asking for information about a green Jeep Cherokee that fled from Ford Street on Sunday after the driver allegedly ran over a Gulfport woman following a fight.

Police said Geneva Balius was holding onto the Jeep near the driver's door as the man tried to flee. A short distance later, he allegedly pushed her from the Jeep and ran over her. She underwent surgery and was in critical condition.

The incident occurred in the 4000 block of Ford around 2:30 p.m. The driver is described as white and in his mid- to late 20s. The vehicle has an out-of-state license plate.

cops came over last night asking if i saw anything sunday, and that the woman had died. Too bad I was in the backyard mowing grass. I knew there was a drug problem over there but wouldnt wish that on any one.
