fireflytx 0 #2 May 10, 2005 Ahhh I was asking DVD burner questions a few months ago http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1542997;search_string=dvd%20burner;#1542997 Check it out!"Well behaved women rarely make history"
alw 0 #3 May 10, 2005 Get a Sony DVD+/DVD- 2 layer. Most compatibility is DVD-, Multilayer will give you more space for back ups and storage of all those video captures. RW is generally a waste of time effort and money but it's nice to have now and then, --------------------------------------------- Every day is a bonus - every night is an adventure. tcnelson 1 #5 May 10, 2005 when your gonna buy, check out newegg.com and read reviews till your heart's content. they have great prices and the feedback people leave is usually great."Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
flyingferret 0 #6 May 11, 2005 Current best in my opinion Benq1620a I have a Lite-ON 451s and it is AWESOME, but only 4x. Read reviews by the masters: http://www.cdfreaks.com/article/search/B That group of people puts drives and media through more extensive testing than anyone else on the net. The funny thing I have found with DVD drives is that with each new generation, the 'best' seems to move to a new brand. You need reviews like the above, brand alone is not enough.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

freeflir29 0 #8 May 11, 2005 I bought a Memorex external and it has been GREAT. I have had no problems at all with it. I can add more files to a DVD that already has stuff on it but I can't add to a CD.
