Oh, and Vegas rocked!

Recommended Posts

I'll post some of the pics when I get home next week, but I would just like to say that Vegas was mucho fun! :)
We stayed in a crappy but cheap hotel that was in the middle of everything. As a statistics person, it was very frustrating for me to watch a slot machine consistently paying out $20-$50....a person winning over time on a slot machine really messed up my world. If you ever get a chance to take a motorcycle around, the Hoover Dam/Valley of Fire loop was AMAZING!!!! I will definitely post some of those pics later. Just don't get caught in the rain or 60 mph winds. Biking down the Strip was also pretty cool. Basically, if you get the chance to get a bike while in Vegas...do it! The Cirque show Mystere was very cool. They once again mixed humor with amazing movements of the human body. The stage and lighting also make this just a fantastic show to see. The rides on top of the Stratosphere are BIG fun. I really like the ride that swings you out past the building (Insanity it's called, I think.) The NY NY rollercoaster is painful. OUCH! Maybe that's why I had back spasms! We also had a dealer that told us what his card was in Blackjack ("I have a five,") and gave us other very strong clues on what we should do. I still lost $10. :(

Next time, I want to go during off-peak times and stay in the Bellagio. That is the best smelling hotel I've ever been to! Oh, and Remster told me to go to that one place that had huge, strong margaritas. Everywhere I looked there was a bar with huge, strong margaritas!!! :D But, thanks to everyone for their advice! We didn't get to do everything we wanted to, but I expected that before going. Next time, I want to do the bike thing again (maybe I'll have my license by then!) I'd also like to find out where the good, cheap buffets are, too!
There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Glad to hear you had fun, Val. I have a blast every time I go. And I agree on the Bellagio. I always stay either there, or at the Venetian when I visit.:)
The big key for me is whenever I'm up more than $300-400 dollars I get it cashed out as a check and mail it home. It took me a few thousand $'s to learn that one year...heh.
