rwieder 0 #1 May 16, 2005 every time i go to the "Incidents Forum" there's yet another post posted by someone wanting to see if some one else has information about an alledged incident at XYZ DZ. but not having any information themselves. i don't get it, if you don't know anything about an incident, then wait for some one who does know about the incident, if in fact there was an incident to post the facts. the forum is being taken out of context by these types of posters, please cut it out. it drives me wild to see yet another lock hanging off of this type of post. the rules are plain for all the world to see, why would anyone go ahead and post a post like that anyway? let's get real. remember, we are skydivers, not journalist. (well a couple of us are, but at least they don't practice this type of activity) Take Care, Be Safe, And "Just Stick To The Facts"-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
kelel01 1 #2 May 16, 2005 I actually don't mind the practice. It makes it a lot harder for a DZ to "hide" the fact that there was an incident. It often prompts someone (who knows what happened and might have been reluctant to post) to say something. I know of a few incidents that have never been posted, and many things could have been learned from them. And there was more to learn from them than just, "his wongloading was blah, blah, blah". But I don't make those posts because I'm afraid I'll piss someone off. So I'm sure glad when someone else sacs up and says something.
PhreeZone 20 #3 May 16, 2005 Hell, PM them to a Mod and have them post it. That or PM them to a few other people out here that could care less about pissing people off and they'll post them.
