Other wavelengths pass right through. Blue overpowers these other colors. On the other hand, at sunset, the light must pass through a greater amount of the atmosphere, which blocks the blue wavelength out. It then becomes ovrpowered by the red light, which does pass right through it. That's why the sky is red and orange (so is the sun) when you look at it in sunset. My wife is hotter than your wife.
