I need cheap car insurance!

Recommended Posts

yeah they are retarded, they want $2400 for 6 months for liability only on my old truck and $4300 for 6 months on my bike, hard to understand because I have a clean driving record and no accidents or nothing.

They will find you the cheapest insurance out there. On top of that.........if you pick one of the companies off their list.........when you call they should already have all your info that you entered on the web site. The first time I used that site it took a total of 15 minutes or so from the time I went to the web site until I was off the phone and had coverage. ;)

Answer Financial

If you wanted to look somewhere else, this place has been great for me, and I have to carry high risk insurance... I pay like 621 for 6 months full coverage (of course it is an old car and I am a girl which helps...) Just a thought :)

Can anyone help me find a company that will not charge an arm and a leg for insurance

Get the minimum liability coverage that is required by law.

Increase the deductible amount for your collision coverage.

Well he did say it was a "new" Silverado, and most people finance new cars. If that's the case, the bank would probably like their vehicle to have full-coverage.

It would have full coverage. What the bank is worried about is collision insurance, so that their collateral is protected. Increasing your deductible amount from say, $250 to $1,000 doesn't threaten the bank's interest that much, and can significantly reduce your premium. And I don't think the bank has any say so in what your deductible should be - that's just the amount that you pay up front on any claim, before they kick-in and pay the remainder. If you're willing to cover the minor stuff, they'll cut your premiums for you.

Also, if you have multiple cars, or a house, you can get discounts by putting all those things with one company. I have both my home and my car insured by State Farm, and that's cheaper than insuring them separately with different companies.

Oh yeah, I agree on the deductible part, just not the "minimum liability required by law" part. I was just saying that the bank will expect him to keep comprehensive and collision coverage in addition to liability, which it sounds like you agree with. So we're in violent agreement.

This is at least the 2nd, if not the the 3rd or 4th time I've agreed with you on something this week. I should call and make a doctor appointment. :D

The paperwork on my loan says I have to carry comp & collision with no more than a $500 deductible (I have a $250 deductible). I'm financed through Ford Motor Credit.

Well I am 29 years old and not had a ticket in over 6 years ( knock on wood ) and only one accident about 2 years ago which I was not at fault. The thing that gets me more than others is that I am still single and live in the mountains where they seem to charge way more than usual. Almost everyone around here sue the living hell out of their insurance for any lil thing that they can get, they are alot of rednecks here.....lol. When I moved back here from Florida my insurance doubled.
