jjiimmyyt 0 #7 May 20, 2005 Start msconfig from the run command, deselect mimboot.exe from startup, should (in most cases) sort you out. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave
EDYDO 0 #8 May 20, 2005 Can you spell hijack???? I need computer help also. My notebook computer plays DVDs and has an S video port. I would like to use it with the TV in my motorhome. It would be a pain to install a DVD player in the system. I purchased an S video to composite cable and hooked the computer to the TV. It is not difficult to change the input on the TV, but how do you get the computer to output through the S video port? Ed
Bolas 5 #9 May 21, 2005 What kind of computer? Most computers you can select your output under display properties (right click a blank area on the desktop and choose properties, settings tab, and click advanced). You may need to download updated drivers from either windows update or the computer maker's site.Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. pilotdave 0 #10 May 21, 2005 Do you have a function key (Fn)? You can probably hit Fn+F5 (toshiba) or Fn+F8 (dell) or something similar to switch the video output. Dave
