Do you drive fast?

Recommended Posts

Hi. My name is Nina. I am a speeder! ;) LOL

I am also a CRWDOG. I have learned exactly how close I can get one canopy to another canopy before I cause a boo-boo. This skill has washed over into my driving skills. 'Nuff said. :) >:(

I've driven a Vette for the past 10 years. My uncle, who owned 4 Vettes and was president of the so cal vette club told me he always got his vette over 100 each time he drove it, cuz it's good for the car. So I try to follow my uncle's advice and get my Vette up to over 100 each time I drive it. 135 is the fasted I've gone cuz there were other cars around and I'm a wimp. I usually average 90 going to the DZ.

I've heard mine will do 160 but haven't gotten the opportunity to take it up that far cuz I live in Los Angeles and there are always other cars around :(. But one of these days :)

Just got back from 2 wonderful evenings of traffic school. What do -you- think? :)

Lori,
Can you believe I've never gotten a ticket in my Vette. Just probably mostly luck, but I do watch constantly, look at everybody who gets on on ramps, who is behind you, ahead of you. But I think it is mostly luck.

I got a ticket on the way TO TRAFFIC SCHOOL! Actually, it was just a warning, which was even funnier, at least to me.

Yes...I drive fast. I am from Boston so not only do I drive fast, I beep my horn every 5 seconds and proceed to give everyone the finger.

I drive fast in my car and on my bike. I have seen 187 on the motorcycle, and 168 in a car. Those are all exact speeds because I was using GPS...if you are going off a speedometer your off by a bit...they read wrong. Example....Speed was saying 176 int eh car....GPS was saying 168...i trust GPS.

I'm just curious if most skydivers drive fast?

I had a cop yell at me today on his patrol car PA. Apparently he saw me take a corner without slowing down, but when he caught me and started following me I wasn't speeding. I never was speeding!!

It really depends on how windy-twisty the road is or how straight, flat and boring. Last drive I did in a car from Chicago to Denver was just over 9 hours. (mapquest it if you want the mileage ;)) The moving truck last month wasn't so kind. The governor kept me at 65...bastards...

I got pulled over at 145 in a 55 once. You tell me ;)

152 in a 55, driving an unmarked police car with the lights and sirens going. I used to work at a car dealer and did fleet sales. Got the state bid for cop cars so I had to trick a couple of them out and road test them. The state trooper was not too happy with me. I did get off though as I did DARE stuff with him in the grade schools for 4 years of highschool.

This guy told me flat out he'd never have had a chance if I hadn't stopped >:(

He goes "All I saw was a black streak hauling ass, if you'd gone for state lines, I'd never have caught you"

I was still young and dumb at the time and, well, I could have definitely beat him too. Two things:
1. he knew where I worked - better to deal with it on the road than at work.
and even worse...
2. he was good friends with my dad.
I asked my dad a couple years ago after I got back to IL if he ever heard that I got pulled over and he never did. B|
