Dougiefresh 0 #1 May 27, 2005 Hmmm... 5 minutes ago I was just another guy. Now I'm a Master of Materials Science. It's amazing. It all comes down to three signatures on a piece of paper. I sacrificed a 3+ year relationship, financial stability and my mental health, and in the end I still have no freakin' clue. Fuck it, Dude. Let's go jump.Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Dougiefresh 0 #12 May 27, 2005 Well, right now it comes with the freedom to jump all summer. And I intend to use that freedom to its fullest. BillyVance 35 #17 May 27, 2005 Quotep.s. What the hell is Materials Science?? Does this correspond to an actual job?? Sure it does... things like metallurgy, engineering stronger materials for building construction, the best mix of concrete or glue, etc... there are lots of possibilities out there."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

Dougiefresh 0 #21 May 28, 2005 Unfortunately, you won't see me this weekend. My grandparents are sick so I'm going to help take care of them. Besides, I have to move out of my apartment...so probably no jumping for me until Wed. And job-wise, I'm looking at semiconductor companies, thin film research, silicon micromachining, stuff like that. It should pay well, but I'm more interested in skydiving than work right now anyway. I'm going to be a bum for a while, I figure I earned that right.Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
