good luck (and service) for a change.

so my cell phone decided to stop vibrating. i usually carry it in a shirt pocket so i don't always hear a ring and rely on the vibrator. i sucked it up and went back to the guys i bought it from, resigning myself to buying a new phone.

i ask the guy how long the warranty is.

a year he says.

cool, i don't think it's been a year.

you got it last may.

great warranty expired.

...but you bought the extended warranty.

i did? hmm, not on purpose, must have been hidden in the micellaneous charges. okay, so you will fix it, how long until i get it back?

let me open it up and see what's wrong.

<15 minutes pass> okay, found the bad part, had one in stock, here's your phone, good to go.

:o

stuff like that doesn't usually happen to me. like the other night while putting a jar into the cupboard over the stove, i dropped it. broke the ceramic cook top. no warranty for stupidity or clumsiness (the stove isn't even a year old yet), $379 plus tax, plus shipping, plus $65 an hour to replace it.

okay, back to whatever you were doing. :D
