kingbunky 3 #10 May 31, 2005 tennessee or either carolina. lotsa dz's locally, and lots more if you drive south, good weather most of the time but enough variety that it doesn't get boring. if you stay away from the coast there aren't many natural disasters waiting to happen (hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, mudslides, earthquakes et al.). and for me personally, lots of nascar racing! ianmdrennan 2 #12 May 31, 2005 Quote I'm moving to Atlanta! So far I love it here. Especially moving out of the MA area and the suck ass snow that comes with it. For the most part the weathers pretty damn good over here. Hell, even for a relatively crappy season so far the weathers a bizillion times better than MA ever was. freeflir29 0 #13 May 31, 2005 I own a house in Montana because I love it there. However, they have winter and there isn't much skydiving. So..............my southern home is going to be a 34Ft trailer and 2006 Dodge truck. That's my solution on where to live. I love Atlanta but there is a good month or so that it is just too cold to skydive. Then............I'll probably be at Z Hills.

DrewEckhardt 0 #15 May 31, 2005 Quoteif you were to move where would go? Under what circumstances? With $4M in cash I'd use $600K-$1M to move from a townhome in North Boulder to a house in Downtown Boulder and retire on the rest. I'm not moving to a better home with less money because I'd rather invest to retire earlier. I'm not moving elsewhere because I like it better here than the places I've visited. Good tech industry with work within bicycling distance, enough amenities without being a big city, plenty of decent resaurants within walking distance, great climate, good dry snow for snowboarding, close to Moab, great outdoor activities, an airport for skydiving within 15 minutes and one for flying within city limits, reasonable gun laws.... New Zealand sounds like a fine place. If I find it to my liking after visiting, there are plenty of software startups happening, the tax situation is reasonable, and the US has gotten too out of hand I'll strongly consider it.
