AggieDave 6 #1 June 1, 2005 Frenchy68 as well as Piisfish Darius11 Pleifer Jumper03 Skygeek All chipped in to buy me an early wedding present. I had commented about a pair of handmade boots from a Texas company that were perfect for for wearing with my tux. This was back at the end of Jan, ordered the boots the first week of Feb and they've been on back order until this past Friday. Good thing we ordered them way early, or it could have gotten real close to the wedding. Anyways, I promised to post some pics when I got them, so here are the pics. Edit: The boots are a pair of Lucchese european goat leather in black cherry (looks nearly black unless in direct sunlight, then there's a hint of maroon). For those who don't know who Lucchese is here's a link: http://www.lucchese.com/--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #6 June 1, 2005 The wedding is still a little ways out, but its starting to sneak up on us. Oct 7th is the wedding. So now that I've got these boots I can go get my tux. Due to rental tux jackets sized to assume that if you have big shoulders and a big chest/back you obviously have a HUGE gut, I'm buying a tux from Men's Wearhouse. I've been saving for it and now that I've got these boots I can go get fitted for the tux and have the cuff's hemmed to the correct length for boots instead of shoes.I'm one very excited soon to be husband.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Spizzzarko 0 #7 June 1, 2005 What about the spurs dude? Please don't tell me you aren't going to walk down the Isle with out the spurs!
AggieDave 6 #8 June 1, 2005 Quote What...no spurs??? Unsure .....and you call your self a Texan.... No spurs for my wedding, but I always wore spurs with my other very important boots...my Aggie Senior Boots. Luckily student loans paid for those boots, since I had to have them for my uniform and they cost $1k! Too bad they're not good for wearing for anything now except sitting on my shelf with other Aggie stuff I have. Maybe I'll have a boy and he'll go to A&M and he'll be in the Corps of Cadets, then he can wear them. There are boots out there that have been worn by 3 generations of Aggies.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #10 June 1, 2005 Well, I got that nickname while in the Corps of Cadets, so yup, I know I know...nevermind the obvious that I'm 2/3rds of the way through the application process for a local police department...only 2 interviews and another psych eval left, did the polygraph yesterday and did just fine. They found out that I was telling the truth and I actually never have had sex with an animal (that was an actual question).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
