Slappie 9 #1 June 1, 2005 I know this has been done. People will say "I work 40hrs a week plus overtime. I'm a hard workin mofo!" To that I say HA HA You lie to yourself so well. No one works 40 hours a week. Seriously, you may be at your place of emplyment for the hours your employer wants you there. But, how many of those hours are you actually working on something work related? I know I do about 15 hours of work in a 40 hour week. Seriously, I'll probably actually do 3 hours a day in an 8 hour day. That is if I'm busy. During really slow times I may contribute 5 hours a week out of 40. Some weeks I won't do a damn thing until Friday. I'll save up everthing I should have done that weeke and do it all in one really hectic cram session. So really think about it. How much work do you really preform in a 40 hour week. BillyVance 35 #3 June 1, 2005 I have actually had times when I was working 50 hours a week for a few months because the workload was so heavy and I had deadlines to meet. However, it's pretty obvious that I've been cruising the past few months, otherwise I wouldn't be Post-Whoring on here! Darius11 12 #5 June 1, 2005 I don’t see how you’re looking at it. If I am here for 40 hrs a week I am usually here for more then that I consider that working. Because if I had my choice I would not be here I would be out side. So just because you are not doing something work related at all times doesn’t mean your not working. Slappie 9 #7 June 1, 2005 I look at it this way. You may be at your place of employment. You are paid to "work" preform a task or a number of different tasks in exchange for pay. Your employer pays you for these services. Just because you've "clocked in" and are sitting at your desk does not constitute "working" you are doing nothing but breathing and taking up space. So "working" and "clocking in" are two seperate things. kelel01 1 #8 June 1, 2005 Well, I generally come in 30 minutes late, go in the back door so that Lumbergh won't see me, and then I just sort of space out for a while . . . but it looks like I'm working. I'd say on the average I do about 15 minutes of real, actual work.

unformed 0 #18 June 1, 2005 Since Christmas I probably did about 40 hours total (while charging 40 hours per week). During my review they said I was the most focused employee they have. I turned in my resignation yesterday, and they're really sorry to see me go. They job is there for me if I want to return. Fucking craziness. This ad space for sale. dropdeded 0 #24 June 1, 2005 Varies, a lot. Example, yesterday I was on for 24 hours, ran 1 call total, probably 1 hour 15 minutes including paperwork. Last week had a 24 hour shift that included 1 call that was over 12 hours, plus paperwork, on top of several more calls.
