The Pope's confidant is essentially saying, "Oh, the Pope wanted this? Well, I want that, so, um, tough!" Pretty freakin' sickening, I think. And scary. Doesn't this seem, like, some sort of turning-point in history? peacefuljeffrey 0 #3 June 5, 2005 Well, it really doesn't frighten me, as I am pretty sure I am not going to care what happens with my body or earthly possessions when I go... but I still think that it is important for all those left behind to be able to look around them and see that the last wishes of others are being honored. Otherwise, what we what we'll be seeing is evidence that people just don't even respect those who have died, and don't take seriously the importance of honoring their requests. Or at least, the reasonable ones. I'm not saying that if I put in my will that I want to be rolled up in the center of the world's largest rubber-band ball that my survivors should have to go to all that trouble. But a request that one's private papers be burned? And then some other dude second-guesses you?! Oh, by the way, sorry, I forgot the link!
