dixieskydiver 0 #1 June 5, 2005 Yes, that is what I am having for dinner tonight. Apparentally it is a local delicacy in the Cusco, Peru region. 4 days and I´m home to sweet tea and barbecue chicken (KC Masterpiece Original)! Not to mention those freezer biscuits, fried okra and or squash and mashed taters and gravy! yeeeeeeeeeeeeeha! Sorry, my Southern-ness has been repressed for nearly 5 months... There's also a pizza place down one of those roads which is fuckin killer ... it called Mama ____ (somethin) pizza ... it's a wood-oven pizza, really good ... If you can, also, go whitewater rafting down there ... the rapids there are ridiculously fun ....This ad space for sale.

Blue skies mi amigo Hey juanesky! Yea I knew it was cuy, I didnt think anyone else would though. It was awesome by the way, it has a very unique flavor. I hate getting a new exotic meat and having it taste like chicken! I think I can buy one of those little guys and cook him cheaper than the almost 20 bucks it cost me here though. VanillaSkyGirl 6 #11 June 6, 2005 Yes, guinea pig is a delicacy for some Peruvians, but that doesn't mean that everyone from Peru eats guinea pig. (I am Peruvian.) Apparently, it's very good, but I could never do it...poor little guys. If you are still in Peru, I'm sure that you can find many, many other foods that will make your mouth water. The dishes are amazing. Take many pictures of Machu Piccu. It's simply breathetaking. ~
dixieskydiver 0 #12 June 6, 2005 Yea I had Aji de Gallina the other night as well. Also alpaca and llama. I´m here until tomorrow, I´m in Aguas Calientes underneat Macchu Picchu right now getting ready to subir. We had to make an internet break so the girls could use the bathroom here.
