mouth 0 #1 June 7, 2005 My youngest child just woke me up from a deep sleep to tell me the dogs were barking (they are dogs and we live in the country.....who cares if they see a raccoon?). I went and checked on them and tucked her back in bed to realize I never turned on a light at all walking through the house. Wasn't necessary at all because every electronic device in my home has a light of some sort. Kitchen: refrigerator control panel, microwave, coffee pot, oven Family room: VCR/DVD player, TV, reciever, clock, AC thermostat box My room: computer monitor, CPU, wireless boxes, clock, AC thermostat box Meg's room: TV, VCR. clock, TWO lava lamp night lights....geez, do you really need two? Ash's room: clock, TV and fan control (for noise) Then there is the light on the control panel for the garage doors that is lit as well as the doorbell that glows through the back door. NO WONDER MY POWER BILL IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. You can see my house from space with all the "lights" turned off. So how about you? Is your house dark? -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
GeordieSkydiver 0 #2 June 7, 2005 I cant sleep if there's the faintest light on. I go round switching everything off fully. The only thing thats on is the alarm clock. I even cover the gap under the door to stop stray light.... I can't have a ticking clock in the room either...Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk

Just razing ya...I'm bored waiting on the clothes to dry...______________________________________________ "A radical man is a man with both feet firmly planted in the air." -Franklin Delano Roosevelt
skymama 37 #4 June 7, 2005 Have you ever been to caverns where they turn the lights out on you and you can experience total darkness to where you can't even see your hand in front of your face? It's freaky! What we get used to as being dark isn't really that dark at all as you just proved! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
