FallloutboyDAoC 0 #1 November 20, 2008 I'm pretty small and light and have a hard time keeping up with the fat bastards at my DZ when were not linked. I was wondering if a kurupee jumpsuit, made specifically tight, would make me fall faster? Or, for that matter, if i'd fall faster with no jumpsuit at all. And if not, what's a good jumpsuit that's fast?
rehmwa 2 #2 November 20, 2008 saran wrap.... c'mon, you're asking riggers. Shouldn't this be in a discipline forum? I bet any manufacturer can design for fast or slow - find one you like and tell them your needs also, practice ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
TheCaptain 2 #3 November 20, 2008 Here is the review of them in the gear section Kurupee I would suggest either buying something made in the USA or liquidsky. I have personally had great luck with firefly but they have a really long wait time.Kirk He's dead Jim
pilot-one 0 #4 November 20, 2008 Talk to Julio at LiquidSky. The kurupee isn't bad but you'll like a better quality jumpsuit much better. He will also fine tune your fall rate using different materials than Kurupee would. He put me in a jam up freefly suit that I love. www.liquidskysports.com
FallloutboyDAoC 0 #5 November 21, 2008 Those are nice suits. Too nice. I'd like to get much more experience and confidence that i won't biff a landing and ruin a kick ass suit like that :( But since i saw their website, for future reference, they say they will put any design on their suits. Would they put a band logo and names all over the suit?
Chris-Ottawa 0 #6 November 21, 2008 Hey man, I bought a Kurupee suit and I am 120lbs and 5'8". DEFINATELY NOT a fast suit. Kurupee only uses cotton as far as I am aware. It's a great suit, but it's better suited for fast fallers, not slow fallers trying to go fast. I highly recommend the suit, but not if you want to go fast. I have another thread trying to figure out my slow sit speeds and the cause is about 90% the suit. I have purchased a new pair of FF Pants from a Canadian company called Vertical suits. They make a wide variety of skydiving gear, and with the shitty Canadian economy, your suit will only cost about 77% of their advertised price as the exchange rate puts the US dollar at about $1.23 per Canadian dollar. http://www.verticalsuits.com/ PS: I got the suit in a "tight" fit as well. Picture attached As for the Vertical suit I just ordered...turn around time was about a week and a half. There are a few of these suits at my dz and they are really well built and nice suits."When once you have tasted flight..."
