WEEKEND NUMBERS 6/10-6/12

Was going for 8 jumps this weekend, only got 3 in since my tonsilitis came back, and I spent thursday, friday and saturday resting since I was sick.:(
Made the sweetest sit fly jump yet, Chad and I did a horney gorilla exit, and I popped into my sit and held a sweet, stable sitfly for the entire diveB|. Chad was flying across from me, I stayed in one spot so he was keeping up with me.:)Did a sweet solo on a tandem load with awesome clouds; next jump, did a 4 way that launched kinda funny, but we managed to get together and play all around in the sky.

Great weekend! Too bad this is the last time I get to jump at Skyranch for about 2 months:(.

I had a GREAT weekend, thanks to all of the people who I got to hang out with at Perris and Elsinore.. It was my frist time jumping at elsinore, and they really made me feel welcome there (much more than I can say about the DZ I call(ed) home when I went back there last weekend after my deployment!) I wasnt at elsinore for more than 10 minutes before multiple people came up and just introduced themselves to me, I had people to jump with, and just had one of the greatest days skydiving today.. I am also started packing my own gear (FINALLY) this weekend, and it was really hard for me to start doing that, I was lost and confused most of the time, but THe people at Elsinore and Perris were really helpful, and always willing to give me some tips and assistance when I needed it. THanks alot to all of you who made my day :ph34r:B| Oh yea, I finished my 'B' license stuff on Friday at Perris, gotta fax it in tonight

:):3:I owe

I love good weekends at the dz. Weekends start on Thursday, right?

1st time perfect floated exit
1st coached jump
1st time with a first-time coach
1st track
1st deploy at 4000 (as planned)
1st out at altitude
Bought first canopy, Spectre 190 (won't be using it for a while yet)

You can have it good, fast, or cheap: pick two.

Was in Brian Germain's course most of the weekend - the two jumps were as part of the course.

First front loop
First poised exit
First spot
First interaction with "industrial haze"
First unassisted pack job (...and then Don't Fear The Reaper started playing on the radio, I shit you not!)
I'm sure there are more, but I'm tired.

4 awesome jumps during Scott Miller's canopy course. 1 bounce (:D) to start the course off right B|. Don't know what hurt more - the fact that I thought I broke my leg/hip or the fact that it's caught perfectly on video :o:S

Good news is that I finished the course on a high note with every landing getting progressively much much better... of course you can't go much lower than creating a crater in the ground huh? :|

Jen

-and you finished the course? :| Hope you're feeling better!!! Get some ice on that stuff tonight if you're still awake. :)

8 jumps.
Had an awesome weekend. Took Scott Millers essentials and advanced courses. Lots of fun lots of good information. Recommend it to all. Scott is one cool dude I think I asked him over 100 questions over the weekend.:)
The weather was ok really really hot and humid for a sec. I thought I was in Miami.
Nothing like getting a tan in freefall. did i mention it was hot;)

:S; 12; deny, deny, deny :D

Dave Brown was in the house this weekend out at Orange. What a cooooooooooool guy. Great coaching and organizing!!!

Made my 800th yesterday. Dave Brown led a full-on-mad HD Flock dive for me. We didn't get full alti on that one and ended up landing about 3 miles from the dz, in grass up to my eyeballs, behind two fences, one of which was barbed wire. :D I don't think I'll forget that jump anytime soon. :P

Other than that....... tandem videos and freeflys. Great weekend. THANKS DAVE!!!! B|

7 tandem vids, 3 AFFs, 1 freefly, 1 speedstar and 1 hybrid.. make for a well-rounded weekend.

I would have jumped alot more but spent most of Saturday finally finishing up a 9 month project.. Byron now has one badass projector with a 12' diagonal screen and a kicking sound system to go with it.. All donated by the local jumpers.. very cool..B|
